First, go to the Adobe site and find the correct version, try this &lt;a class="active_link" href="http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air_linux.html"&gt;link&lt;/a&gt;. Once downloaded, right click on the downloaded bin file and choose properties. Choose the permissions tab and set the owner to be able to execute the file.
