Biography:
Josh is an analyst with the RBC Venture Partners group at the Royal Bank of Canada. Josh is responsible for evaluating and analyzing investment opportunities in the RBC Software and Technology Fund II (STF II) and the co-managed BlackBerry Partners Fund. Prior to joining RBC, Josh worked at BDC Venture Capital where he performed due diligence on companies and markets in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors. He also worked at GlaxoSmithKline in a consulting capacity; he helped to create a strategic and tactical plan for the International Clinical Operations leadership team and advised them on Enterprise 2.0 strategies. Josh founded and operated an angel-backed Internet-based venture, CampusTutors Corporation, and he has a broad base of knowledge in Web 2.0 applications and services. Josh has a Master of Biotechnology degree from the University of Toronto, a Bachelors of Science (Honors Genetics) degree from the University of Western Ontario, and is currently pursuing his CFA designation. He has also earned the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) designation.
